SIU: Signaling Interface Unit. Interconecta backhaul (red de transmisión) y fronthaul. El fronthaul de Ericsson para 2G-4G incluye:

La SIU realiza interfaz de comunicación entre la red de transmisión y las DU.

Función principal

La SIU sirve de bridge entre tecnología ATM (T1/E1) y ethernet (IP) o viceversa.

Sin SIU, hay que establecer canales de comunicación E1 para la red de transmisión. Con SIU, todo se puede agregar en un único enlace ethernet

Gracias a la tecnología VLAN, un solo enlace ethernet puede agrupar tráfico de distintas redes (no necesariamente interconectadas). Ejemplo: enlaces S1 (UE-CORE), red de gestión O&M (Operations and Management).

Conectores COMBO: Los conectores 0a, 1a, 2a, 3a vienen duplicados (ethernet RJ-45) y 0b, 1b, 2b, 3b (ethernet SFP para fibra óptica). Sólo se puede usar uno, es decir, si usas 2a, no puedes usar 2b.

Los conectores 4-7 sólo vienen en RJ-45.

Conexiones tributarias (T1/E1)

Cuenta con ocho conectores ATM T1/E1. Cada uno soporta dos líneas, así que se pueden usar hasta 16 interfaces de transmisión T1 (USA, Japón) o E1 (Europa).

Conexión de reloj para sincronización

El conector CLOCK sirve de entrada y también de salida para interfaces de reloj 1PPS (un pulso por segundo) con bus de comunicaciones RS-422.

Conexión console

El puerto CONSOLE utiliza interfaz ethernet (NO USA SERIAL RS-232). Se mediante el software Local Maintenance Terminal (LMT)

Botón de power

No tiene.

Requisitos para auto-integración en red

Se requiere un servidor DHCP y un servidor SFTP.

Configuración

Desactivar firewall de Windows. Ajustar IP estática 192.168.1.2/24, gateway 192.168.1.1.

Conectar cable ethernet de pares trenzados en toma RJ-45 etiquetada como “CONSOLE”.

Comando. de acceso seguro:

ssh admin@192.168.1.1

Comando de acceso inseguro:

telnet 192.168.1.1

Usuario admin, contraseña hidden.

Obtén número de serie y comprueba que case con el de la etiqueta:

A los parámetros se les llama Managed Object (MO). A las sesiones de cambios se les llama “Transactions” y llevan asignado un identificador.

Abrir software SIU Element Manager (SELMA). Requiere Java instalado.

Configuration → Reset to factory settings admin/hidden

Prepara fichero de configuración.

Configuration → Load from file (fichero .xml primero y luego .xsd schema file, que es estándar para todas las SIU y ordena el XML)

Abrirá el XML y mostrará el árbol de claves y valores. Si todo está correcto, ve a Validate → Validate XML. Finalmente Configuration → Save to SIU
